For an active holiday: walk or pick up a bike and explore the area via the Voie Verte - route via the path where trains used to run - making it not so hilly.
Take a canoe trip on the Dordogne (Canoë Carsac, canoedordogne.com) or a balloon ride over the river.

... for the little ones
For the little adventurers, a climbing forest is a must (La forêt des écureuils, (laforetdesecureuils.fr). Or explore the Bamboo Forest (La Bambousaie de La Roque Gageac, bambousaie.com) and walk straight to the beautiful must-see village of La Roque Gageac. Animal lovers can have an adventure at Aquarium Perigord Noir in Le Bugue (aquariumpericordnoir.com).
Less than a 10-minute drive away, you'll find Zoological Reserve Calviac (reserve-calviac.org). This is a fun, small animal park where you can walk among the monkeys.
